Valentines Day!

I was so happy that Valentine’s day fell on a day that I was not working.  I enjoy getting to spend this crazy, busy, fun day at the school with the kids!  The day started off with the kids getting to open Valentine’s that my mom had sent them.  After I dropped Carter and Caroline off at school I headed to Leighton’s class valentine breakfast.  This was Leighton’s first year to get to pass out Valentine’s…she was excited to give all of her friends cards with bouncy balls (her favorite).

After Leighton’s party I headed off to Caroline’s  valentine party.  They got to each decorate a box at home and  pass out valentine’s to their friends.  She got to make  ice cream sundaes and play BINGO with candy hearts.  Sweet and precious little kiddos!

After Caroline’s party I ran down the hall to Carter’s second grade party.  They exchanged Valentine’s, made a key chain craft, and had ice cream sundaes.

Every year I have the kids follow a little scavenger hunt to find the valentines that Ben and I got them.  This year we did it after school.  They were so excited to come home and follow the trail….

Florence Western Day

Florence had their annual western day at school.  This is always one of the kid’s favorite days! Leighton dressed up for the occasion too and we spent the day up at the school.  They played all kinds of fun games like wagon races and ball jumping relays…all the while trying to steer clear of the rodeo clowns!  At the end they danced to the “Cha-Cha Slide”.  Carter really got into it…which was cute.

After we finished watching Carter, Leighton and I had lunch with Caroline.  Leighton got to walk through the cafeteria line with Caroline…carried her own tray…and told the cafeteria ladies what she wanted to eat.  She thought she was SOOO big!  Precious Caroline LOVES having Leighton around!  She is the proud big sister!

I love the expression on her face when the clown would do something funny…

Kindergarten Field Trip

Caroline’s Kindergarten  got to go to the Stock Show for their field trip this year.  I think the thing they were most excited about was getting to ride on the school bus for the FIRST time:).   They wore their school t-shirt and then each class had a different color bandana so we could keep track of them easily.  They all did great…and had a lot of fun!  It was ALOT of walking for these little ones!
